Block of Iron is a block added by Vanilla Minecraft. It can be crafted into 9 Iron Ingots and as such is a storage block.
Crafting
Uses
It is used in crafting a Tool Forge, Reinforced Iron Chest, Industrial Frame, Printing Press, Blank Maze/Ore Map or may be smelted in a Smeltery for 1296mB of molten iron.
Note that the Iron Ingots can be replaced with an appropriate material, though they all must be of the same metal. Four Iron Blocks may be used with a Pumpkin or a Jack-O-Lantern to spawn an Iron Golem. Note that the pumpkin/jack-o-lantern must be placed last.
