The Blood Crucible is a block added by Harken Scythe. The Blood Crucible is crafted with Netherrack in the pattern of a cauldron, with an Ender Pearl in the center tile. It will store up to 100 blood "units", gathered by collecting blood with an essence keeper/essence vessel.
Destroying a crucible filled with blood will spawn a hemoglobin, which behaves identically to a slime. Right-clicking a Hemoglobin with an empty essence keeper/vessel will cause it to split and refill (X) points of blood, allowing you to claim the blood that would otherwise be lost.
