Casts are a group of items added by Tinkers' Construct. Casts are to be used in conjunction with a Smeltery and a Casting Table to turn molten materials into parts.
Crafting[]
Casts are crafted by placing the part the player wishes to make a cast of into a Casting Table first and then pouring either Molten Gold or Molten Aluminum Brass onto it to form a cast for that item type. The prefabricated piece to put into the Casting Table can be made at a Part Builder using basic materials like Wood or Cobblestone.
If Molten Gold or Aluminum Brass is poured into the Casting Table without a tool part, a Blank Cast is formed, which can then be turned into an Ingot Cast at a Stencil Table. Blank Casts cannot be crafted into any other casts.
Uses[]
Casts are used to make parts that cannot be made from a Part Builder, primarily for metal tool parts.
How to Make a Cast[]
Cast making is quite simple. All you need is Gold or Aluminum Brass, a fully functioning smeltery, and a Tool Part.
Step 1.) Melt down gold/aluminum brass in your smeltery.
Step 2.) Put a Tool Part on your Casting Table.
Step 3.) By this time, the gold/aluminum brass should be molten. Pour it over your Tool Part.
Step 4.) If you right click once the gold/aluminum brass has solidified (as with all finished blocks/parts/casts, you can retrieve the item with a hopper), you will receive the cast that represents what you've poured your gold/aluminum brass over.
