- There is a bug that occurs after using the chisel on multiple blocks that will cause the chisel to instantly "etch" an additional level into a block despite the player not inputting it to do so. This can be slightly frustrating as you cannot reverse a block's chiseled state.
- Durability is the most important factor on a chisel, as efficiency does not matter when using a crafting table to chisel multiple blocks at once. This makes Slime one of the best materials to make a chisel with.
- Using a smeltery to create Seared Stone by smelting cobblestone or stone, it is possible to create Seared Bricks by chiseling the Seared Stone.
