Ender Dragon is a giant dragon mob added by vanilla Minecraft. It is one of the strongest vanilla mobs and the final boss of vanilla Minecraft. A giant black dragon with a row of spikes down its tail and back, it can only be found in the End.
Killing it rewards you with a large amount of experience and spawns the return portal, granting a dragon egg and end credits. The ender dragon can regenerate health from the crystals atop the obsidian pillars and within the eyes of the Enderman statues found scattered about the End.
