The Protected Land Tester is a type of consumable torch that indicates if the block where it is placed is protected from meteors by a Meteor Shield.
If the torch is lit, it means this area is protected from meteors. If it is not lit, this area is in risk of being destroyed by a meteor crash. Once placed, a Protected Land Tester cannot be retrieved, even with a Silk Touch enchanted tool.

- While a Protected Land Tester shows natural meteor prevention, it may not prevent summoned meteors depending on configurations.
History[]
- This item does not exist in Hexxit 2.0 versions due to the removal of the Falling Meteors mod, but was however added back in Hexxit 3.0 versions and later.
