The Gilded Wooden Shield is one of the shields added by the Asgard Shield mod. It is an upgraded version of the Wooden Shield. It has a durability of 246 and inflicts 1 heart of damage and does 1.5 block of knockback with each hit. When not guarding, the shield absorbs 15% of damage taken. Its weakness is fire, and will burn through the shield rather quickly. Its special perk is arrow catch. When a successful guard is performed, but unlike the wooden shield, it will collect 100% of the arrows shot at you, instead of 0%. Gilded Wooden Shields can block for twice as long as Wooden Shields but will last 1/2 as long.
Bugs
In the current version of Hexxit, the Gilded Wooden Shield is craftable. You have to get Heartwood planks, found only in dungeons. WARNING: Crafting this shield causes the game to crash.
