Described by the Tinkers' Construct mod itself, "The Hammer is a broad mining tool. It harvests blocks in a wide range and is effective against undead."
Abilities
- 3x3 area of effect with the selected block being the center of the square being mined.
- Smite (Bonus damage vs. undead mob)
Crafting
This is an advanced tool from the Tinkers' Construct mod, and as such requires the Tool Forge to be crafted. It is composed of 2 large plates, a hammer head, and a tough tool rod.
Uses
Although considered an upgrade to the pickaxe by some, this tool is not necessarily a viable replacement due to the 3x3 area of effect whilst mining. It should be noted, however, that this is also an effective weapon in addition to a mining tool. The smite damage is effective at night where there are the most undead mobs and should be used as a alternative as a dagger at night
