Kreknorite is the rarest meteor you will encounter. When it crashes, it also spawns a Nether portal with accompanying Nether Brick and Glowstone. However, it may also bring some of its mobs with it. The Nether portal will only appear if the meteor that fell is bigger than the smallest type of meteor (There are 3 sizes of meteors, thus Kreknorite must be size 2 or 3 to spawn the portal). It creates lava and kreknorite ore, which becomes obsidian after cooling.
A Diamond pickaxe is required to mine to Kreknorite ore. You won't always get Kreknorite chips because it is random on how much the ore yields. Increase your chances by using a Fortune enchanted pickaxe.
Kreknorite ore drops kreknorite chips. Kreknorite chips are used to craft Kreknorite Armor and Kreknorite Tools, and the armor provides you with complete immunity to fire, allowing you to stand in fire and swim in lava. The sword has a unique ability that sets fire to whatever mob you hit with it (much like Fire Aspect).
