So after another lapse of interested and a drastic clash between Technic and my computer I'm back to technic yet again, which means back to continuing my singleplayer file to achieve "my 100%" as well as a multiplayer server with a good friend. I already have more contributions on the way and I'm not gonna say goodbye to helping this wiki 'till I drop. Hexxit may not be the most recent, state of the art modpack out there but it's sure to capture a large audience of adventurous players, and this wiki's sure to keep them informed.
Hello AmbassadorArt, I've noticed you've been doing a great lot of work on this wiki in regards to images especially and I highly appreciate what you have been doing. When users now view your profile they will see a custom user tag on your profile saying "HELPFUL" in regards to this.
Also, in regards to you doing a lot of work with images, I've given you the ability to rename files in the event you feel a file is misnamed that you or someone else has uploaded.
Thank you very much! I'm glad you enough in my contributions to warrant the "Helpful" tag. The image rename persmission now gives me two image catergories to work on. It calls for a lot but I'll still be doing this as long as Hexxit interests me. So far it seems it'l be for a long time.
I also thank you for being so approachable and for bringing up the 'Image Standards' discussion, which lead me into the photo field of the Wiki in the first place.
This wiki still has a lot of work to do before I'm gone myself. I actually haven't played Hexxit for the past month (part of the reason my edit count per day is down by a lot XD) myself but am still sticking around to assist where I can and work on what I can until I get back on Hexxit.
So I've renamed three so far, (date/time -> Better Dungeons - Water Staff - In Use.png) (date/time -> Tinkers' Construct - Cobalt Ore.png) and (Alien Creepers -> Falling Meteors - Alien Creeper.png) As far as I know the redirects work fine, could you verify to make sure I'm doing it right?
Also I see that even though I removed the "Improperly Named File" tag from the Images' pages, the text "This file needs to be renamed according to our Image Standards" still shows up on the search screen in "Photos and Videos". Is there anything I can do about that?
The redirects actually will be deleted so you will need to rename the files in the page as well. It showing up is probably a caching issue and can be ignored as it'll auto-update after some time (2-3 hours, 24 hours maximum)
Hello, it has been brought to my attention — as well as noticed by myself — that the files you have been uploading do not follow the File Name Standard by this wiki. Please refer to the forum posting about the naming standard.
Would better names for what I've been uploading be more like "Asgard Shield Wooden Shield Guarding ig.png" as per the Mod name - Object name - Additional Info.png and the 3rd rule in Items/Blocks? I like to take in-game images when possible so would they be better suited in the Info Box rather than a thumbnail on the page? I'd like some examples because I want to help out without giving the Rename Project more work than it needs to have.
The third items/blocks rule and the screenshot naming scheme do not work together. It would be one or the other. For the 150px images/blocks theyd be "Item Name ig.png" (e.g.: Wooden Shield ig.png) however, since yours are screenshots, theyd be better off this way:
Asgard Shield - Wooden Shield - Guarding.png
