on terraria or in general?i assume you play hexxit as your on this wiki alot and it has loads of mods(btw the pc i play terraria on runs it well yet it runs vanilla minecraft very poorly) i never recognized your original user icon(fire gaunlet) and when i did i was like awes shiet
Phlogistonator... never really liked it. Considering the prevalence of "Soldier is best because it's well-rounded" people, it's useless without airblast. Backburner can at least defend itself sometimes.
Is there a YouTuber or other popular figure telling them to do this? Do they all just feel the need to screw up a page with reproductive slang when after they're done watching sex tapes? Is it just the same person who, for some reason, feels the need to change his IP constantly just to deface a wiki?
Doubt it, what with the active development of Hexxit again, it is most likely picking up some popularity amongst those who played it before and are just now hearing about it. With all new modpacks, people will often look up things about something and use the source. Those same people, will then vandalize or look for pages to vandalize on the source they got their info they were looking for, from.
That line gets rid of the table of contents at the top of the page - often useful in smaller pages where theres a few headers but the length doesnt really call for a TOC. I'd say it was done in good faith. Other two were blocked
Removed a bunch of replies from this thread btw, and the "This relpy has been removed" message shouldnt show up anymore (for any threads) to make this easier to sift through. All previous messages tho can still be read via the thread history.
Hey, noticed you did a large edit to pages that had the Category:Potion Ingredient tag. Those pages didn't have the category manually added but the category is from the "type" argument on their respective Item template usage. Also, it would be preferred that the "Potion Ingredients" category be a manually added category as the "type" argument being set to "Materials" - For reasoning, see Forum:"Type"_field
No, the Potion Ingredient category was being added due to the Item template. You adding the pluralized form manually and not changing the Item template's "type" field caused both "Category:Potion Ingredient" and "Category:Potion Ingredients" to exist on the page at the same time - this is something the wiki has had issues with and was something that was to be undone (especially in the case of tinkers' construct and LegendGear, where there were variants of the name on the item pages, causing a category clutter)
In order to fix this duplicated issue, the templates "type" value would've had to be changed to be pluralized or changed to be something else (or adding an argument to the template to remove type auto-cat...Item template would have that info, but it shouldn't be used unless absolutely necessary) to remove unnecessary category clutter.
It's been fixed already (As per the type standards already linked in a previous post) by myself. The type field was changed to "Materials" and your additional manual category was left on the page. This fixed the issue in this case.
I'm here to help, don't worry. There are a lot of wiki standards on this site that are still in-progress too that need editor input on (Forum:Wiki Standards) if you want to help get some ideas out there to get standards more common, etc, feel free to comment on any of the standards on that forum section. That section also includes "finalized" (ie: they're done for the previous discussion but can always change if necessary) standards.
