Netherrack is a block added by vanilla Minecraft which naturally composes most of the Nether. Netherrack will burn forever when set alight, unless hit by a water block (rain does not affect it) or a player puts it out. It has new uses in Hexxit.

Netherrack is used in the crafting of Altar of Blood, Blood Crucible, Blazing Bow and is a material used in Tinkers' Construct.
