Trees

The Hexxit modpack adds a much greater variety of trees than can be found in vanilla Minecraft.

Overworld Trees

Sakura: "Flowering Cherry". Bright pink leaves, greyish planks.

Eucalyptus: "The Pink Wood". Have large, branches that spread out. Bright pink planks.

Hopseed: "Ascended Glitch". Looks more like a bush than a tree.

Redwood (Natura): Massive; do not use Treecapacitor with these. Reddish-brown wood and planks.

Aramanth: "Heart of Wood". Cool dark purple planks. Grows in jungles.

Acacia: Grow in desert-like biomes (e.g. Savannah).

Palm: Grow on beaches. Sometimes drop coconuts. Mottled yellow-green-brown planks.

Fir: Very tall and skinny.

Redwood (ExtraBiomesXL): Resembles the Fir, but with greener leaves and red wood.

Autumnal: Resemble vanilla oak trees, but with spruce wood. Larger ones are oak. Their leaves come in 4 colors: brown, purple, yellow, and orange.

Tigerwood: Faintly striped logs and planks, with dark red leaves. Possible play on Tiger Woods. 

Nether Trees, added by Natura

Ghostwood: "Pale as a Ghost". Silvery wood, white leaves.

Bloodwood: Grows upside down. Red wood, leaves, and planks. Really big. Rare. 

Darkwood: Black leaves, dark blue wood. Drops Potash Apples, which taste like chalk.

Fusewood: Explodes when harvested. 

• All of these can be crafted into new tools/weapons. 

Twilight Forest Trees

Note: All Twilight Forest trees often have Cicadas and Fireflies on their trunks.

Twilight Oak: Huge, hollow trees. Vines run up the north side of the inside of the tree. Sometimes hold Spider Dungeons within.

Canopy Tree: Has black wood and dark green leaves. Thin trunk, but huge spreading-out branches.

Mangrove Trees: Have a weird hourglass shape. Only found in swamps. Cannpot be planted, because saplings need to be surrounded with water, but water breaks sapling.

Darkwood Tree: Leaves completely cover the Dark Forest biome. Leaves are very hard to break. For some reason, pools of water and lava often generate with the terrain on top of the leaves.

Rainbow Oak: Found in Enchanted Forests. Leaves constantly change to all kinds of rainbow colors.
