I love Hexxit, and I love fighting monsters and bosses and conquering dungeons. But I also think Hexxit would be better if there was some more "technical" magic. So, I suggest adding the following mods to Hexxit. Some are more complicated magic mods, while some add more the the adventure theme.

  • Thaumcraft 4
  • ARS Magica 2
  • Runic Dusts
  • The Erebus
  • Mo' Creatures (Not allowed in public modpacks)
  • Grimoire of Gaia 2
  • Craft Heraldry
  • Battle Gear 2
  • Tale of Kingdoms (In-depth RPG mod, meant to be a game-changer, incompatible with lots of stuff)
